NAISA will be raising awareness for the indigenous sisters, wives, mothers, and daughters that go missing from their families without clear answers. This is a crisis across the United States and Canada. We will be planting red-flagged stakes into the De La Salle Lawn and having a table outside De La Salle where students can walk by and plant said flags themselves.
Native American women make up a significant portion of the missing and murdered cases. Not only is the murder rate ten times higher than the national average for women living on reservations but murder is the third leading cause of death for Native women.
