The Institutional Research office at Saint Mary's College of California is dedicated to fostering a culture of data-driven excellence and informed, equity minded, decision-making. INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH OFFICE FUNCTIONS
The Office of Institutional Research oversees a wide array of data management responsibilities crucial to the institution's success. We strive to be a valuable asset to the campus community, providing support and insights to enhance strategic initiatives and operational effectiveness. Our responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing various external data reports, such as those required by the federal government, our accrediting body (WASC/WSCUC), and proprietary channels including US News & World Report and Princeton Review.
- Providing comprehensive institutional data to campus stakeholders to support their strategic initiatives and operational needs.
- Coordinating institutional survey activities, including annual student satisfaction and engagement surveys.
- Maintaining essential data reference sources such as the Fact Book and the Common Data Set.
- Conducting data analyses to inform the college’s strategic planning and operations, such as evaluating student success through diverse outcome measures.
