Jim Sciuto, EdD, was promoted to Vice President of Student Life at Saint Mary’s College in May 2023 after serving in an interim role beginning in December 2022. A two-time graduate of Saint Mary’s, he has held a variety of roles within Student Affairs at Saint Mary’s. As Vice President of Student Life, he oversees twelve departments representing areas of Student Engagement, Wellness, Belonging, Campus Recreation and Club Sports, Residential Living, and Campus Safety.

Prior to becoming Vice President, Sciuto served Saint Mary’s as Dean of Students and Associate Vice President for Student Engagement. His previous experience of increasing responsibility included working in Residential Life and Housing, Student Involvement and Leadership, Student Conduct, and New Student and Family Programs.

Originally from Southern California, Sciuto earned a Bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College; a Master’s degree from the University of San Francisco; and, a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary’s College.
