Media Production Minor
Whether you’re a journalist or a geologist, all fields and industries are increasingly relying on image and sound to communicate their ideas and information. A Media Production minor offers students an opportunity to supplement their chosen major with dynamic digital literacy skills. Developing a fluency with digital media will identify them as fiercely relevant and forward-looking in any industry.
Media Production minors learn to use a broad range of digital production and post-production tools in service of their storytelling, develop a working understanding of media industries and how how to operate ethically within them, and undertake a hands-on on-campus media internship. This foundation is then supplemented with 2-3 individualized, interdisciplinary upper-division media production electives.
