“Making Spirits Bright”
Come take in the warmth of community and the goodwill of the season with the Saint Mary’s College Choirs in a joyful concert of sacred and secular music offered by our talented and delightful ensembles! From shimmering motets to Bulgarian trumpet-like tones, a cappella jazz, and gospel joy—this uplifting program will truly make spirits bright!
Highlights include Stroope’s heart-expanding Psalm 23 and Fauré’s Sanctus; choral classics by Homilius, Monteverdi, and Mendelssohn; soul-stirring works by Rollo Dilworth (His Eye Is on the Sparrow) and Rosephanye Powell (To Sit and Dream, on prophetic words by Langston Hughes); empowering pop anthems including Brave by Sara Bareilles and Do You Hear the People Sing? from Les Misérables; plus the irresistible grooves of Earth, Wind & Fire and beloved carol arrangements by Greg Murai—culminating in festive community carol singing!
Parking is 50 cents per hour via texting "Pay" to 77447 and indicating "SMC" when prompted for the lot, as publicized at the visitor parking lots. You may also scan the QR codes at the entrances to the parking lot to follow instructions for parking payment.
