In collaboration with the Black Leadership Coalition, the High Potential Program, and the Intercultural Center, CAPS is hosting the 44 Days Mental Health Series. The lineup includes CAPS therapists Drs. Kristen Freeman and Carnetta Porter, in addition to Dr. Shawan Worsley, Founder and Executive Director of the Bay Area organization Culture Ally. Dr. Freeman will educate us about mental health needs specific to first generation college students. Dr. Porter will talk about the cultural appropriation of hip hop, and how we can move from a climate of appropriation to appreciation. Lastly, Dr. Shawan Worsley will speak about mind-body healing for racial stress and trauma. Please see below for dates, times and locations.
