Join La Hermandad, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and the Mission and Ministry Center in La Hermandad's annual trip to the the Día de los Muertos Festival in Oakland. 

Meet us in the MMC Lounge at 10:45 a.m. and we will travel as a group.

We will be at the festival on Sunday, November 3rd from 11 am - 3 pm. You're not obligated to stay the entire time, but you will be responsible for transporting yourself back to campus if you choose to leave earlier/later than our exec team :)
 
Our exec team will be traveling to the event via Bus & Bart. Please bring your student ID to ride the bus for FREE

For 29 years, the annual Oakland Día de los Muertos Festival has welcomed tens of thousands of visitors to the vibrant, culturally-rich Fruitvale neighborhood for a free, outdoor, family-friendly event taking place to commemorate the Mexican traditions around the Día de los Muertos. Festival attendees enjoy world-class live music, family-friendly games, rides and activities, traditional Latin American artisans, and the stunning altares created by community members paying homage to los Muertos

The 2024 Oakland Dia de los Muertos will take place on Sunday, November 3rd from 10 am to 5 pm on International Blvd between Fruitvale Avenue and 42nd Avenue.
