About
In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the High Potential Program at SMC, we invite you to join us for the First Gen Community Celebration! This event is taking place on Saturday, April 20 from 12-3pm in the Chapel Lawn.
The High Potential (HP) Program/TRIO Student Support Services provides access to education for dedicated students from traditionally underserved groups in higher education and is designed to foster student success by drawing on the strengths and resiliency of first generation and/or low-income scholars as they transition from high school and beyond.
Join us for a grand celebration of 50 years of HP! There will be music, food, performances from Baile Folklorico Guadalupano, art activities and much more!
This event is open to all - students bring your families! Local high schools have been invited. Alumni, staff, faculty are all welcome :)
Campus tours will be available in English and Spanish at 1pm. We will also have Admissions and Financial Aid staff available to speak with prospective students and parents/families.
