About

Both the Saint Mary's community and any prospective graduate students are invited to join the Graduate Communication program in Sichel 101 from 1:30-3pm PST on Wednesday, December 4th for our Gradstone Proposal Presentations.

During this event, our current cohort of graduate students will be presenting the proposals connected to their individual research projects as an opportunity to showcase their work and get feedback from faculty and peers.

For context, students begin work on a year-long research project on a topic of their choosing when starting the program. This gives students the chance to work on a project relevant to their personal, academic, and professional interests while helping expand their knowledge of available career paths, research niches, and all of the skills involved in an intensive research project. Our students graduate with a Master's degree and in-depth research in their chosen field of study—increasing their overall marketability post-graduation.

Our students are so excited about their projects and current Comm faculty member Dr. Ben Compton encourages anyone interested in advanced study to attend and support our students—hopefully giving them some community momentum headed into their data collection over break.
