About
The Saint Mary's Community is invited to the Mission & Ministry Center for an "open house" style meet & greet with Fr. Kwame Assenyoh, our new Chaplain who joined Saint Mary's in December.
Whether you have had the chance to meet him or if you have not, please plan to come by the MMC on Wednesday, February 7 anytime between 3-5pm. Light refreshments will be served.
Fr. Kwame joins the Mission & Ministry Center staff as a priest in the Diocese of Oakland, having previously served at Saint Columba Church in Oakland, the Catholic Community of Pleasanton and, most recently, as the pastoral administrator of Saint Charles Borromeo parish in Livermore.
In addition, before joining the Oakland Diocese, Fr. Kwame served as pastor of three black parishes in Louisiana and led one of them to recovery after Hurricane Katrina. He has held part-time teaching positions in numerous schools including lecturer in African languages and literature at Stanford University. A self-described life-long learner, Fr. Kwame is currently a candidate for PhD in interdisciplinary studies in Missiology and the African Diaspora at Graduate Theological Union.
Fr. Kwame is excited to be part of the Saint Mary’s Community, and is living on campus at De La Salle Hall.
Come by to say hello!
