About

You're invited to join Saint Mary's MFA in Creative Writing core faculty member Chris Feliciano Arnold for an evening discussion revolving around teaching pathways and professional experiences in our program, including fellowship opportunities, community partnerships, and formal +1 pathways that offer a teaching credential alongside the MFA degree. All prospective students and current applicants interested in teaching at any level and additional professional development are strongly encouraged to attend!

Saint Mary's Virtual Information Sessions are designed to give prospective students the opportunity to connect directly with our faculty, staff, and students in a smaller environment. While we'll often speak specifically to the program here at SMC, we hope that this session will be informative and beneficial for anyone who's looking to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing.

Our Assistant Director of Admissions will also be on hand to answer any questions about the application process. Our final application deadline is Friday, January 31st, 2025 and you can check out our Admissions page for more details.

Chris Feliciano Arnold has written essays and journalism for The Atlantic, Harper's, Outside, Vice News, The New York Times and more. His fiction has been published in Playboy, The Kenyon Review, Ecotone and other magazines. His work has been noted in The Best American Sports Writing and The Best American Short Stories. He has received fellowships and scholarships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and the Disquiet International Literary Program in Lisbon. His first book, The Third Bank of the River: Power and Survival in the Twenty-First Century Amazon, is a hybrid work of investigative journalism, history and memoir.
