About
Ainissa Ramirez, Ph.D. is an award-winning scientist and science communicator, a “masterful storyteller” whose podcast, books, and articles illuminate the many ways science impacts our lives. Tonight Dr. Ramirez frames storytelling as fundamental to all humans—helping us connect, remember, and make sense of the world. She then unpacks the tools of creative non-fiction, showing how she uses them to craft compelling science prose. Faculty panelists will respond from diverse disciplinary angles, opening a wider conversation between the sciences and humanities.
The "Storytelling & Science" program is free and the public is warmly invited.
Co-sponsors: Roy E & Patricia Disney Forum, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Marie Curie STEM Center. Additional support: Performing Arts, School of Science, WaGS, and ILaLS
