Professional Overview

Bio: Professor Battista is originally from California. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and History from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015. He earned his Master’s Degree in European History, Society, and Politics in 2016 from Columbia University in NYC, where he concentrated in European Economic History. Finally, Professor Battista earned his PhD in Economics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he concentrated in Economic History, Political Economy, and Macroeconomics. His research currently focuses on the process of deindustrialization, areas of entry, areas of exit, causes, and effects.
