Professional Overview

Matthew Cohen teaches Dance Production: Lighting Design at Saint Mary’s. In addition to his designs for the SMCDC and the MFA program, Matthew has designed for Davalos Dance, Wax Poets, Lipstick Lumberjacks, El Teatro de Danza Contemporanea de El Salvador, and the Don’t Quit Your Day Job Dancers. He has also designed for Shotgun Players, Lorraine Hansberry Theatre, and Marin Theatre Company. He studied lighting at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and San Francisco State University.
