Professional Overview
Aaron T. Lee is an assistant professor in the St. Mary's Department of Physics and Astronomy. His research models the formation of stars and planets, which he does using some of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. Currently, he focuses on understanding the conditions that result in the formation of binary stars versus single star systems. Aaron has a Ph.D. in astrophysics from UC Berkeley, where he was both an NSF Graduate Fellow and UC Berkeley Dissertation Fellow, as well as a masters degree from Cambridge University.
