My primary scholarly interests are focused on the intersections of race, social stratification, globalization and urban life. As an instructor I enjoy working with diverse groups of students, including helping "non-traditional" students (first generation, returning and older learners, transfer students, veterans, etc.) navigate the unique challenges of a college education.
