Professional Overview
Dr. Deborah Sharpe has been an adjunct faculty member at Notre Dame de Namur University since 2008 and an adjunct associate professor at Saint Mary’s College of California Graduate Counseling Department since 2003. She has taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in art therapy, counseling, psychology, and sociology. She has supervised art therapy students and emerging professionals since 2003 and graduate counseling students since 2006. Deborah’s clinical work includes adults with chronic mental illness, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities, adolescents with severe emotional disturbance, at-risk children, and trauma survivors of all ages. She has provided group and individual art therapy in various settings since 1991.
