Professional Overview
I teach two courses in Human Anatomy, one for the Health Sciences majors and one for the Biology majors. In both of these courses, I incorporate clinical case studies to show my students how anatomy is applied to the health care fields. Through my work in 3D Anatomy, I have developed a library of DICOM (MRI and CT Scan) files demonstrating typical anatomy, pathology and anatomical anomalies that I incorporate into my lecture and laboratory courses. Medical imaging is being integrated into health professions curricula more and more and I believe exposing my students to medical imaging will help my students see human anatomy from a perspective that is growing in importance in the health care field.
