Professional Overview
Laura White is a Visiting Professor at Saint Mary's College of California. Prior to this appointment, she was an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University at Galveston. Dr. White has been an archaeologist since 2007, and has worked on land sites in the United States and the United Kingdom and on underwater sites and with shipwreck materials in Sri Lanka, Spain, Florida, Cyprus, Italy, and more. Laura specializes in ancient ships and shipwrecks, and enjoys material culture, archaeological science, and artifact conservation. Laura is also a open water diving instructor, an AAUS scientific diving instructor, and a DAN instructor trainer.
