Lasallian Mission & Ministry Scholars Program Scholarship

The Lasallian Mission & Ministry (LMM) Scholars are part of the two-year Lasallian Educator Fellows Program. The LMM Scholars are graduate students enrolled at Saint Mary’s College, live on campus, and are also part-time staff members in the Mission and Ministry Center. They work with other MMC staff members to plan and implement MMC events and programs, and are an integral part of the team which consists of 4-5 staff members and 15+ student leaders.

As part of the Lasallian Educator Fellows Program, the LMM Scholars participate in a (approximately) two-year cohort program designed for Saint Mary’s College students and graduates of other schools who are exploring a vocation in education at Lasallian and/or Catholic school systems. While pursuing their degree, Fellows participate in a cohort fashion in professional development and formation activities to learn about and engage with Lasallian history, pedagogy, and spirituality. What does it mean to be a Lasallian educator in today's world? How do educators animate Lasallian core principles in their work with students and colleagues? Through reading, reflection and partnership with Christian Brothers and other Lasallian educators, Fellows are invited to reflect on and advance their own priorities as educators.

At any given time, there are two LMM Scholars: one who is in their first year of the two year
commitment, and one who is in their second year. So - only one LMM Scholar is selected each year.
