De La Salle Heritage Days 2022 Announcement
Our Heritage Days are hosted every Spring semester as a way to learn about and celebrate the breadth and depth of our Lasallian mission. This year is particularly special since we are allowed to celebrate in person and continue to emerge from this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic
The theme of these Heritage Days is “All Together More,” first introduced during our inauguration celebration on April 8th. This theme captures our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and honors the rich variety of gifts and experiences that make our community the special place that it is. We invite you to see the full calendar of events here.
There are many special events taking place between April 20 and May 1, some new and some that are time old traditions! We especially want to highlight events that are intended to be campus-wide community celebrations:
· April 20th (1-2:30pm): Kick-off BBQ (Chapel Lawn)—free to our entire community
· April 23rd: SMC Community Day (all games and events free; food trucks available at cost). Please bring your family!
· April 24th (8pm): Kick-off Mass (Saint Mary’s Chapel) with special reception to follow
· April 27th (1-2:30pm): Academic Convocation, honoring our special guest Brother Ernest Miller, FSC, DMin (Saint Mary’s Chapel). Additionally, we will honor one faculty person and one staff person as Outstanding Lasallian Educators. Special Reception to follow
· April 29th (4pm-6:30pm): Healing Circle, hosted by ALLIPas (Soda Center)
· May 1st (8pm): De La Salle Christian Brothers Vow Renewal (and National Religious Brothers Day) at the Student Community Liturgy (Saint Mary’s Chapel)
There will be plenty of swag available at different events!
We are confident that there is something available for everyone during our De La Salle Heritage Days this year!
