Easter Blessings

Dear Saint Mary’s Community,

The holy season of Easter, Passover, and Ramadan is a time for reflection, spiritual renewal, and ultimately celebration. As we continue to face times of struggle, both at home and around the world, let us remember that we are always in God’s holy presence and that we are one community brought together by our Lasallian, Catholic values, dedicated to hope, faith, and love. Let us also support one another during this season when Christians commemorate the events leading up to the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday, as our Jewish sisters and brothers celebrate Passover, commemorating the anniversary of the Exodus from Egyptian slavery, and as our Muslim brothers and sisters fast in Ramadan to commemorate the revelation of the Quran.

Our challenges are many, but if we focus on hope, we can all come together. Let us pray for all who have fallen ill and died due to the coronavirus pandemic, for our devoted healthcare workers and first responders, and for those who have been greatly impacted emotionally by our fight against COVID. Let us pray for the health and safety of everyone in our community, and for those battered by war and insecurity, both in the Ukraine and beyond.

I wish each of you, your family, and loved ones, a blessed Holy Week, happy Passover, and peaceful and joyful Easter.

Best regards,
