Middle Eastern and North African Cultural Night Reveals Hidden Gems April 21
Join the fun at the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Cultural Night to discover a few “Hidden Gems.” You'll enjoy an evening of cultural foods and festivities at this student-run event, which takes place in the Soda Center and via Zoom link.
“I am Egyptian and Sudanese, and I am so excited to hold an amazing night showing Middle Eastern and North African culture,” said Lead Chair Sabrina Agaiby ’24, a Politics major with a minor in history.
The event’s Set Director, Kira Minaise ’24, shared such sentiments as well. Currently a Business Administration Digital Media student, Minaise said, “I proudly come from a Lebanese background. I am excited to share my Arab roots among other students of similar backgrounds at the MENA cultural night!”
Event Planner and Biology senior Joey Makhoul hopes to attend medical school in the coming years and is delighted to share in this event. “I am very excited to be part of the executive team, and I cannot wait to share a part of my Lebanese heritage for this cultural night!” And Publicity Coordinator Jonathan Metry ’22 shared: “I'm excited to put my Egyptian roots on display this coming MENA night and celebrate all other Middle Eastern and North African countries (especially their food).”
