New Interim Academic Director of the M.S. in Accounting Program

The School of Economics and Business Administration is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Suneel Udpa as Interim Academic Director of our new Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) Program starting December 1, 2012. The new MSA program will launch on July 8, 2012 on our Moraga campus as a hybrid program. In his new position, he will be responsible for the strategic academic oversight of the program; academic direction and curriculum changes/improvement; and program marketing and recruitment participation.

Suneel served as the Chair of the Accounting Department during the 1997-1999 period and was Assistant Professor of Accounting at Emory University before he came to Saint Mary’s College in 1995. Suneel has taught in our undergraduate and graduate programs and served as a member and chair of numerous graduate business, school and college committees. He is a highly sought out teacher and has taught accounting in leading graduate programs like the MBA program at the Haas School of Business at UC, Berkeley. He was the recipient of the Saint Mary’s College Faculty Alumni Award in 1999. His most recent publications include papers in the Case Research Journal and Issues in Accounting. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics from Bombay University in India, and an M.S. In Business and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri.
