Remembering Kevin (Casey) Eichler
Dear Saint Mary’s Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Saint Mary’s Trustee Kevin (Casey) Eichler died on March 19, following a long illness. He was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2015 and served as Secretary to the Board from 2017 to 2019.
Eichler had more than 30 years of diverse experience in finance, operations, and administration. His background included public, private, and startup companies and proven success in the development and implementation of strategic, operational, and restructuring plans. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Ambarella, Inc., a leading developer of low-power, HD, and Ultra HD video compression, image processing, and computer vision solutions. Eichler joined Ambarella as CFO in 2018 and worked closely with the investor community while building a world-class finance team.
Prior to joining Ambarella, Eichler was the President and Chief Financial Officer of Ultra Clean Technology, a leading developer and supplier of critical subsystems for the semiconductor and display capital equipment industries from July of 2009 to 2016. Prior to joining UCT, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Credence Systems from January 2008 to November 2008, and the Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of MarketTools from March 2006 to December 2007. He served as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MIPS Technologies from June 1998 to February 2006. Prior to that, he held management positions with several technology companies including Visigenic Software, NeXT Software, and Microsoft.
Eichler was a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Saint John’s University Private Investment Advisory Board. He also served on the Board of eSUB Construction Software and xiQ, Inc.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Eichler earned a BS in Accounting from St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minnesota. He and his wife, Kathleen, have three grown children, Erin, Patrick and Maggie.
Saint Mary’s mourns the loss of our devoted Trustee.
