Saint Mary's College Business Office Now Offering Credit Card Payment Options
For many students and authorized payers, this transition will make paying tuition and fees a whole lot easier.
On April 5, 2023, the SMC Business Office announced that they are now offering the convenience of credit card payments for tuition and fees on the Student Account Center. This transition is made possible through their third-party partner, Touchnet, via PayPath.
The new credit card feature adds options for students and authorized payers, the Business Office notes. Credit card payments can be made online only and will incur a non-refundable service fee of 2.85% with a minimum transaction amount of $3.00. This service fee, which SMC does not control, offsets the credit card transaction fees charged by credit card companies.
It is also worth noting that the existing electronic check (ACH) method is still available and does not incur any service fees. Mailed and in-person check payments are also an option with no fees.
