Saint Mary's Featured in National Rankings
Saint Mary's has received recognition from a pair of national publications recently as U.S. News & World Report placed the College at No. 4 in its latest Best Regional Universities-West list and Princeton Review included SMC as one of its 388 Best Colleges in the Country.
The lofty rankings represent not only the unique educational experience and exceptional community that exists at Saint Mary’s, but also the continued growth and progress of the College as a leading institution in the region. Saint Mary’s ranked fifth in the 2021-22 U.S. News & World Report regional rankings and sixth in the 2020-21 edition.
“These rankings demonstrate again what a special and transformative educational experience students receive here at Saint Mary’s,” said President Richard Plumb. “To see the College continue to rise on a list recognized by our peers demonstrates the hard work and dedication put forward on a daily basis by our incredible faculty and staff. Guided by our mission as a liberal arts, Lasallian, Catholic institution, these rankings provide a welcome reminder that we are on the right path when it comes to enabling students to leave Saint Mary’s and make an impact in the world.”
Saint Mary’s also earned U.S. News & World Report rankings in a number of other categories. The College was named a Best Value School for Regional Universities-West, and ranked No. 9 on the Best Schools for Veterans list among Universities in the Western Region. Saint Mary’s also landed a spot among the best Undergraduate Business Programs and was named a Top Performer on Social Mobility among Western schools.
In earning recognition from Princeton Review, Saint Mary’s was also honored as a Best Western College, a Green College, and SMC earned praise for its academic support services, campus life, quality of life and fire safety.
