Saint Mary's named "Cool School" in Sierra Magazine's Sustainability Ranking

Once again, Saint Mary's College has made the list of "Cool Schools" in Sierra magazine, the official magazine of the Sierra Club. Each of the schools ranked have shown their commitment to addressing climate change, protecting the environment, and encouraging environmental responsibility through their campus operations, student engagement and academics.  

Participation in Sierra magazine's Cool Schools ranking is open to all four-year, degree-granting undergraduate colleges and universities in the United States and Canada, along with two-year community colleges. In 2021, Sierra received 328 complete responses from qualified institutions. Click here to read about our methodology and to see how our scoring logic compares with the STARS rankings compiled by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.  See the complete list of Sierra's 2021 Cool Schools participants here
