School of Economics and Business Administration Welcomes Steve Hernandez as Director of Graduate Career Services
The School of Economics and Business Administration [SEBA] at Saint Mary's College is thrilled to announce the appointment of Steve Hernandez as the new Director of Graduate Career Services. With a proven track record spanning 20 years of professional career development and a passion for guiding graduate students toward meaningful pathways, Steve brings a wealth of experience to a vital role at SEBA.
Prior to joining SEBA, Steve spent 12 years directing all areas of career services for Wharton MBA for Executives program in San Francisco including one-on-one coaching; career development programming, partnership with the alumni community, and employer engagement. Prior to Wharton, Steve was an adjunct career advisor for the UC Berkeley Haas MBA programs. As a former partner and executive recruiter for a local search firm, Steve has helped Bay Area companies identify, screen, and hire professionals ranging from staff to senior management in a variety of industries, including professional services, software, technology, manufacturing, financial services, retail, consumer goods, biotechnology, and nonprofit. In addition to being a highly ranked pickleball player and local instructor, Steve has also co-authored the blueprint for the modern job seeker with his book The Job Search Manifesto.
As the Director of Graduate Career Services, Steve will play a pivotal role in enhancing the career development and employment prospects of SEBA's graduate students. through guidance, resources, and support to help students make informed decisions about their careers and achieve their professional goals.
