With the beginning of the academic year underway, the Saint Mary’s Division of Student Life has launched the Late Night Leadership Series, a new initiative designed to empower students to lead with compassion and contribute positively to their communities. This series of workshops aims to help students explore their potential, develop essential leadership skills, and foster a sense of community on campus.

The new series is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership, which was developed at the Higher Education Research Institute in 1993. The Model emphasizes qualities like self-awareness, integrity, collaboration, and citizenship.

It aligns well with Saint Mary’s mission, says Samantha Alberto ’12, MA ’19, Associate Dean for the Campus Experience. “As the College strives to develop students who lead with compassion and contribute positively to their communities, this series will really help Gaels stop, reflect, and grow."

The Late-Night Leadership Series kicked off on the evening of September 18 with the first session, “Understanding Values and Motivations.” The workshop gave participants the space to explore their core values and consider how they relate to their leadership.

The series runs through December, offering an array of topics, with most events taking place in Hagerty Lounge in De La Salle Hall:
