Tammy Ramos ’93, JD will deliver the 2024 Undergraduate Commencement address at Saint Mary’s College on May 25.
Ramos is a recognized expert in diversity, inclusion, and equity matters. She serves as an Executive Consultant for InclusionINC, where she coaches C-suite leaders on understanding cultural differences, inclusive leadership, and allyship to create more diverse, inclusive, and innovative teams. She also serves as the Executive Director of LatinaVIDA™, a nonprofit that partners with organizations to support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by providing culturally relevant leadership programs for diverse, first-generation professionals of color.
Ramos is a proud Latina who has spent decades advancing Latinas and empowering them to achieve career and leadership success. As a first-generation Latina and the first in her family to graduate from high school, Ramos went on to earn a bachelor of science in Economics and Business Administration at Saint Mary's College with a double major in Spanish, and a juris doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School. She has more than 20 years of experience in executive coaching, leadership development, career consulting, and workshop facilitation.
A sought-after group facilitator, keynote speaker, and panelist, Ramos is known for bringing positive energy and creating safe spaces for people to be vulnerable, transparent, honest, and empathetic. She provides one-on-one coaching, group coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and retreats to organizations that wish to build strong, effective teams.
Ramos is a world traveler, having traveled to over 15 countries while living in Mexico and England. She loves to speak Spanish and train on cross-cultural skills to support organizations in creating diverse and inclusive cultures that result in achieving business objectives such as recruiting, retaining, and promoting diverse talent.
She serves on the University of Notre Dame’s Alumni Advisory Board, the School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) Board at SMC, and as Diversity Lead for Notre Dame’s Sacramento Club.
In her free time, Ramos is an avid hiker who has hiked hundreds of miles of trails and climbed numerous mountains throughout Northern California. She uses these adventures to share real-life stories of perseverance, determination, and an attitude that says, “Yes I can, and yes I will!”
