For people who aspire to work in K–12 schools, colleges, family service agencies, and private practices. Our counseling specializations are designed to support motivated professionals to pursue placement where counselors are in demand.

Double Master’s in Counseling and Forensic Psychology

In this double degree program, participants will be able to more thoroughly delve into the nuances of and similarities between both programs. Graduates of this double degree program meet the requirements to pursue Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) licensure through the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS).

Teacher Education MA Programs

Master of Arts in Teaching

Offers you the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of student learning, as well as to deepen your understanding of contemporary issues in education. Our inquiry-based program is open to elementary, secondary, and special education teachers who have earned a California teaching credential or are qualified to teach in California.

For teachers who already understand the challenges and rewards of serving students with special needs. If you would like to build upon your Saint Mary’s Education Specialist (Special Education) credential, the Master of Education in Special Education offers you the opportunity for further and more intensive learning in the field, including carrying-out an original research study.

Forensic Psychology MA Programs

Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology

This program will guide participants to view the world through the lens of Forensic Psychology, and help them to understand the intersections of the law, psychology, and social justice. This psychology degree program is based on a philosophy of restorative justice and designed to prepare students to make an impact in the criminal justice system.
