Yellow Tulip Project – Bloom Celebration
Date & Time
Location (On-campus)
About
SDS, CAPS, the Student Success Office, and the IC will be hosting its first annual Hope Day celebration to view the yellow tulip hope garden blooms under the tree near the Filippi Academic Hall Courtyard. There will be student speakers, music and refreshments to promote mental health awareness.
The Yellow Tulip Project is a youth-driven non-profit dedicated to stigma reduction, community building, and helping people know that there is help and hope out there. Mental illness affects over 450 million people worldwide and the message of Hope resonates across the political, religious, cultural economic spectrum.
We invite all SMC community members to come out to view the tulip blooms and attend the student driven program where people will share their struggles and successes. Please join us, all are welcome!
For disability accommodations at the event (e.g., sign language interpreters, alternative formats) please contact sds@stmarys-ca.edu.
The Yellow Tulip Project Committee is made up of students and staff from the Student Disability Services, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Intercultural Centers on campus.
