Roommate Group

Students can find other residents to live with by searching in their hosuing portal under roommate selection.  You can search by the name of someone you'd like to live with, the name/ID of a group, what year a student is, etc.  You'll be able to see their about me profile blurb, as well as what year they are, their group name and current group size, their top room type preference, etc.  

Once you find someone you'd like to match with as your roommate or roommate group, you can press the "send request" button, or "join group."  Whoever sends the first roommate request becomes the group leader, but group leader status can be transferred to another student in the group.  Alternatively, you can create a group by clicking the "create group" button on the Roommate Selection page.  The group leader has the power to assign all students a bed space in a roommate group whether that is at our in-person room selection event, or in an online process (primarily for first year students.  During room selection only the group leader needs to be present to place the group members, and then all other group members will need to log back into the application to confirm assignment, select meal plan, and sign the housing license agreement.
